After being picked up by your friendly Get Lost Tour guide for the day, we head west over the Westgate Bridge enjoying panoramic views as depart the city for the fresh open countryside.
Arrive at Werribee Open Range Zoo – All aboard the Safari Bus Tour! - Climb on board the distinctive purposefully built safari bus and have your camera ready, or just relax and be in awe of the wonders of wildlife on display. This thrilling safari adventure is the next best thing to being in Africa! As you travel around on the Safari bus you will be amazed at how close you can safely view the vast array of animals including rhinoceros, giraffe, zebra and antelope which live and roam across the 500 acres of unrestricted savannah ranges.
As you are travel securely through arid landscapes and savannah grasslands you will see the the open range exhibits and hear all about some of the world’s most vulnerable species as your Safari Guide delivers a live and informative commentary. The Safari Tour goes for approximately 40 minutes and is one of the Zoo’s most well-loved experiences; you will find you want to tell all your friends about your adventures.
Start to explore the Pula Walking Trail - Keep on the Pula walking trail where you will see the gorillas, monkeys and lions.
*Lion Keeper Presentation – This educational presentation is a must do tourist attraction! Discover why the lion is commonly seen as the ‘king of the savannah’. The educational talk by the lion keeper will help you to understand the imposing dangers which threaten these special animals in their natural habitat.
Viewing the lions at the Werribee Open Range Zoo allows for an exciting and unique occasion to view these majestic animals in close proximity whilst remaining safe. After the Lion Keepers presentation resume walking on the Pula Walking Trail and be rewarded as you encounter more African animals - meerkats, African wild dogs, hippos, servals, and cheetahs.

Explore the Victoria State Rose Garden – Be hypnotized with heavenly scents - With 5 hectares of land filled with the fragrant aroma of over 5000 roses, it is easy to understand why the glorious Victoria State Rose Gardens were presented the International Garden of Excellence award by the World Federation of Rose Societies in 2003. The Victoria State Rose Garden is currently tended by an enthusiastic band of volunteer gardeners who take pride in maintaining this stunning historical garden.
OR explore Werribee Park Mansion: Take an historical journey back into the Victorian era in Australia, with a captivating visit to Werribee Park Mansion. This classic-style Italianate mansion has 60 rooms, imposing porticoed wings and an impressive sky-high tower. The Werribee Park Mansion was a statement of importance in a time when impressing society meant showing of excessive of wealth and power. In its former glory the estate also had a working farm. Such is the grandeur of the Werribee Park Mansion that is currently still a testament to the splendour and lavish opulence of the 19th century, and is a must see attraction. Numerous artefacts and family possessions used during this period are on display and add an aura of authenticity to the Werribee Park Mansion. Careful and detailed restorations over many years mean that the mansion feels authentic and you will feel as if you have ‘stepped back in time’ as you explore the historic and captivating lifestyle led by the Chirnside family and their many servants. You can also amble through the 10 hectares of elegant formal gardens and explore the sweeping expansive park land encompassing this grand old estate.
